Because PubliusNM is an anonymous forum, all contributors submit posts through their alter-ego pseudonyms. Consistent with the blog’s general philosophy, we selected the names from Ayn Rand’s master work and final novel Atlas Shrugged. Wikipedia has a reasonably comprehensive list of the characters from Atlas Shrugged along with character descriptions.
We have one notable contributor who has, appropriately, chosen a character from another Rand classic, The Fountainhead. Ellsworth Toohey is the antagonist in the novel, and for PubliusNM he provides an interesting alternative perspective on occasion. He recently provided his own perspective on his role.
